What We Do
The Partnership acts as Quantity Surveyors on a wide variety of projects ranging from multi-million-pound schemes to smaller works such as redecorations and alterations
The Partnership provides full quantity surveying services including feasibility estimates, cost planning, compilation of tender documents, reporting and valuing construction costs, the preparation of final accounts and the provision of analysis for taxation and estimating purposes.
The members of the Partnership have a wealth of experience that includes residential, retail, commercial offices, student accommodation, data centres and industrial projects for a wide range of Clients including Developers and major Funding Institutions.
The Partnership has carried out projects employing a wide range of procurement routes including single and two stage lump sum tendering, management contracting, construction management and cost reimbursement.
Whilst the Contracts that we utilise are normally from the standard family of contracts the partnership has experience in drafting bespoke contracts in association with Clients legal advisers.
Specialist Quantity Surveying services can also be provided including those in connection with claims and disputes, property and fire insurances, capital allowances and insolvency matters.
Project Management is a service specifically designed to meet the requirements of individual clients by providing advice and assistance in the procurement and construction of buildings for both Building Occupiers and private and institutional Commercial Developers.
Briefly the service can comprise initial advice at the early concept stage of a project through the selection and appointment of full consultant teams to the procurement, construction on site and occupation of a building project.
Advice is given on terms of Appointment of Consultants and these are monitored for compliance throughout an established design period and through the construction stage.
Design Briefs can be developed from initial proposals. This sets the parameters within which the project will evolve. The Design Brief is constantly checked and updated to reflect changes as they are required and occur.
The Project Manager will evolve with the Client suitable reporting procedures to ensure that full awareness of all stages and aspects of the Project are maintained with the appropriate Client personnel. Full financial control and reporting would be an essential element of such liaison.
A Partner of MPG Shreeves would be identified and remain with a project from inception through to completion and if required occupation.
MPG Shreeves has extensive experience in administering all types of building contracts, including management contracts, contracts forming part of construction management projects, traditional lump-sum contracts, and design and build/design completion contracts.
In administering contracts MPG Shreeves establish management procedures and implement management tools to ensure that the contracts are administered in a manner that best suits the client’s brief and requirements.
MPG Shreeves recognise that success comes from well-managed and coordinated teamwork with each member of the team understanding what is required of them and delivering those objectives against a pre-determined timescale in a logically complete and understandable manner.
